I can't send and receive iMessages on my Apple iPhone 7 Plus iOS 10.0

Cause 2 of 5: There are problems activating iMessage

The first time you activate iMessage, it may take a while before the activation is completed.

Solution: Turn off iMessage and try setting up your phone for iMessaging again after some time.

Find "Messages"

Press Settings.

Find "Messages"

Press Messages.

Turn on sending of iMessages

Press the indicator next to "iMessage" to turn on the function.

Turn text message alternative on or off

Press the indicator next to "Send as SMS" to turn the function on or off.

Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

1 Find "Messages"

Press Settings.
Press Messages.

2 Turn on sending of iMessages

Press the indicator next to "iMessage" to turn on the function.

3 Turn text message alternative on or off

Press the indicator next to "Send as SMS" to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on the function, iMessages will be sent as text messages if the service is unavailable.

4 Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
