You can select which network modes your device can use. This setting determines the data speeds you can achieve. Follow these instructions to change network mode.

Select network mode

Press one of the following options:
LTE/WCDMA

3G or 4G (LTE) enables you to achieve higher data speeds than when using GSM.
If you select GSM/WCDMA/LTE, your device automatically switches between the three network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G or 4G network.
If you select LTE/WCDMA or GSM/WCDMA auto, your device automatically switches between the two network modes provided that you're within range of the two network modes.
If you select LTE, WCDMA only or GSM only, your device can only connect to the network provided that the required network mode is available.
If you select GSM/WCDMA preferred, your device can only connect to a 4G network if you're not within range of a 2G or 3G network.

3G or 4G (LTE) enables you to achieve higher data speeds than when using GSM.
If you select GSM/WCDMA/LTE, your device automatically switches between the three network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G or 4G network.
If you select LTE/WCDMA or GSM/WCDMA auto, your device automatically switches between the two network modes provided that you're within range of the two network modes.
If you select LTE, WCDMA only or GSM only, your device can only connect to the network provided that the required network mode is available.
If you select GSM/WCDMA preferred, your device can only connect to a 4G network if you're not within range of a 2G or 3G network.
