When you turn on your phone, it will automatically choose a network within range. Sometimes though, it might be useful to choose your network manually for example when you're abroad where different networks are available (depending on which operators your operator has roaming agreements with). Follow these instructions to choose a network.

Scroll to Operator selection and press the Navigation key.
Choose one of the following options:
Select network manually, go to 2a.
Select network automatically, go to 2b.
2a - Select network manually
Scroll to Manual and press the Navigation key.
Your phone searches for networks within range.
A list of available networks will show on your display.
Highlight the required network and press the Navigation key.
Your display will tell you if you've access to the network you've chosen. If you don't have access, it's because your operator doesn't have a roaming agreement with the operator in question.
When you turn on manual network selection, this setting remains turned on until you turn off automatic network selection. If you're out of range of the selected network, your phone won't work.
2b - Select network automatically
Scroll to Automatic and press the Navigation key.
