Some applications aren't ended completely when your phone returns to standby mode, but keep running in the background unless you end them from the list of active applications. Follow these instructions to end active applications.

View list of active applications

Press and hold the Menu key until the list of active applications is displayed.

End active applications

Highlight the required application and press the Navigation key.

Press the Menu key.

Scroll to Close and press the Navigation key.
