Guide for the BlackBerry Z30 - Set up your phone for email

Find "Accounts"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press Settings.

Press Accounts.

Create new email account

Press Email, Calendar and Contacts.

If an email account has been created already, do the following instead:
Press Add Account.
Press Email, Calendar and Contacts.

Enter email address

Key in your email address and press Next.

Step 5 of 23

Enter password

Key in the password for your email account and press Next.

If the display tells you that your email account has been set up, follow the instructions on the display to select more settings and finish the setup.

Enter email account name

Press the field below "Description" and key in the required name.

Enter sender name

Press the field below "Display Name" and key in the required sender name.

Enter username

Press the field below "Username" and key in the username for your email account.

Enter incoming server

Press the field below "Server Address" and key in the name or the IP address of your email provider's incoming server.

Enter incoming port

Press the field below "Port" and key in 110

Turn off encryption of incoming email messages

Press the indicator next to "Use SSL" until the function is turned off.

Enter username and password for the outgoing server

Press the field below "SMTP Username" and key in the username for the outgoing server.

Enter username and password for the outgoing server

Press the field below "SMTP Password" and key in the password for the outgoing server.

Enter outgoing server

Press the field below "SMTP Server Address" and key in the name or IP address of your email provider's outgoing server.

Please note that if you can't send email messages when using your email provider's outgoing server, key in smtp.vodafone.net.au (Vodafone's outgoing server).

Enter outgoing port

Press the field below "SMTP Port" and key in 25

Turn off encryption of outgoing email messages

Press the drop down list below "SMTP Encryption".

Turn off encryption of outgoing email messages

Press Off.

Select setting for retrieval of new email messages

Press the field below "Sync Interval".

Select setting for retrieval of new email messages

Press the required interval or Manual.

Select period for synchronisation of email messages

Press the field below "Initial Retrieval Amount".

Select period for synchronisation of email messages

Press the required period.

Finish setup

Press Done.

Return to the home screen

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to the home screen.

Find "Accounts"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press Settings.

Press Accounts.

Create new email account

Press Email, Calendar and Contacts.

If an email account has been created already, do the following instead:
Press Add Account.
Press Email, Calendar and Contacts.

Enter email address

Key in your email address and press Next.

Enter password

Key in the password for your email account and press Next.

If the display tells you that your email account has been set up, follow the instructions on the display to select more settings and finish the setup.

Enter email account name

Press the field below "Description" and key in the required name.

Enter sender name

Press the field below "Display Name" and key in the required sender name.

Enter username

Press the field below "Username" and key in the username for your email account.

Enter incoming server

Press the field below "Server Address" and key in the name or the IP address of your email provider's incoming server.

Enter incoming port

Press the field below "Port" and key in 110

Turn off encryption of incoming email messages

Press the indicator next to "Use SSL" until the function is turned off.

Enter username and password for the outgoing server

Press the field below "SMTP Username" and key in the username for the outgoing server.

Press the field below "SMTP Password" and key in the password for the outgoing server.

Enter outgoing server

Press the field below "SMTP Server Address" and key in the name or IP address of your email provider's outgoing server.

Please note that if you can't send email messages when using your email provider's outgoing server, key in smtp.vodafone.net.au (Vodafone's outgoing server).

Enter outgoing port

Press the field below "SMTP Port" and key in 25

Turn off encryption of outgoing email messages

Press the drop down list below "SMTP Encryption".

Press Off.

Select setting for retrieval of new email messages

Press the field below "Sync Interval".

Press the required interval or Manual.

Select period for synchronisation of email messages

Press the field below "Initial Retrieval Amount".

Press the required period.

Finish setup

Press Done.

Return to the home screen
