You can set your USB modem to select a network automatically or you can select a network manually. Remember, if you select a network manually, your USB modem will lose network connection when the selected network is out of reach. If you have an active internet connection, it needs to be ended.

Click Connections.

Click the search icon.
Your USB modem now searches for networks within range and a list of options is displayed.
Follow the instructions on the screen to select the required network.
The screen will tell you if you have access to the network you've chosen.
