Set up your USB modem for internet manually - Huawei K4606/Windows Vista

Usually, you can connect to the internet from within the USB modem application (Vodafone Mobile Broadband QuickStart) as soon as it has been installed on your computer. If this isn't the case, you can set up your USB modem for internet manually.

Step 1 of 8

Find "Connection"

Open a browser.
Key in vodafonemobile.api in the address bar and press Enter.
Click Settings.

Click Connection.

Create new data connection

Click the drop down list below "Account type".

Create new data connection

Highlight Custom.

Enter APN

Highlight the field below "IPv4/IPv6 APN" and key in vfinternet.au

Step 6 of 8

Enter dial-up number

Highlight the field below "IPv4/IPv6 Number" and key in *99#

Step 7 of 8

Save settings

Click Save.

Step 8 of 8

Exit

Click X to close the window.

Find "Connection"

Highlight the field below "IPv4/IPv6 APN" and key in vfinternet.au

Highlight the field below "IPv4/IPv6 Number" and key in *99#

Save settings

Click Save.

Exit

Click X to close the window.
