Set up your phone for web-based email - Nokia C3-01

You can send and retrieve email messages from a web-based email account, such as Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail and Gmail. Follow these instructions to set up your phone for web-based email.
Before you can set up your phone for web-based email, you need an account with the required email provider. If you don't have an account, you can set one up on the web page of the email provider.

Please note that the steps below are based on a web-based email account. If you have a Vodafone Mail email account, you need to use the settings for Vodafone email. Click here for information on how to set up your phone for POP3 email.

Press Menu.

Key in live.vodafone.com and press OK.

Select authentication type

Press Authentic. type.

Activate data connection

Press Back three times to save the settings and return to the list of data connections.

Press and hold Vodafone Mail until a pop-up menu is displayed.

Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.

The first time you open the application, different questions are displayed. Follow the instructions on the display to select the required settings.

The first time you open the application, different questions are displayed. Follow the instructions on the display to select the required settings.

Create new email account

If email accounts have been created already:
Press Add account.

Enter email address

Press Mail address and key in your email address (such as name@provider.com).

Enter password

Press Password and key in the password for your email account at your email provider.

Press Sign in.

Press Back.

Press Exit to confirm.

Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.

If no data connections have been created:
Press Add.
Press Web.
If data connections have been created already:
Press Options.
Press Add new.
Press Web.

Enter data connection name

Press Account name.
Key in Vodafone Mail and press OK.

Deactivate default data connection use

Press Use pref. access pt..
Press No.

Edit bearer settings

Press Acc. point sett..
Press Bearer settings.

Enter APN

Press Pack. data acc.pt..
Key in live.vodafone.com and press OK.

Select authentication type

Press Authentic. type.
Press Normal.

Activate data connection

Press Back three times to save the settings and return to the list of data connections.
Press and hold Vodafone Mail until a pop-up menu is displayed.
Press Activate.
Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.

Create new email account

If email accounts have been created already:
Press Add account.

Press Mail address and key in your email address (such as name@provider.com).

Enter password

Press Password and key in the password for your email account at your email provider.
Press Sign in.

Exit

Press Back.
Press Exit to confirm.
Press Exit.
Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.
