Turn use of PIN on or off - Nokia N700

The PIN protects your SIM from unauthorised use. If use of PIN is turned on, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on your phone. Follow these instructions to turn use of PIN on or off.

Find "PIN code request"

Press the Menu key.

Press Settings.

Press Phone.

Press Phone management.

Press Security settings.

Press Phone and SIM card.

Turn use of PIN on or off

Press On or Off.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK.

Please note:
If the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.

Turn use of PIN on or off

Key in your PIN and press OK.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK.

Please note:
If the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.

Exit

Press the Menu key to return to standby mode.

Find "PIN code request"

Press the Menu key.
Press Settings.
Press Phone.
Press Phone management.
Press Security settings.
Press Phone and SIM card.
Press PIN code request.
