Set up your phone for POP3 email - BlackBerry 8520 Curve

If you're using a POP3 email account in your email application on your computer, you can also set it up on your phone. Follow these instructions to set up your phone for POP3 email.
Please note that these instructions are based on a POP3 email account. If you have a web-based email account, such as Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail or Gmail, you need to use the settings for web-based email. Click here for information on how to the set up your phone for web-based email.

Find "Email Settings"

Press the Menu key.

Scroll to Setup and press the Navigation key.

Scroll to Email Settings and press the Navigation key.

Create email account

Scroll to Add and press the Navigation key.

Scroll to Other and press the Navigation key.

Enter email address

Highlight the field below Email address and key in your email address.

Enter password

Highlight the field below Password and key in the password for your email account.

Step 8 of 9

Enter password

Scroll to Next and press the Navigation key.

Exit

Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.

Scroll to Setup and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Email Settings and press the Navigation key.

Create email account

Scroll to Add and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Other and press the Navigation key.

Enter email address

Highlight the field below Email address and key in your email address.

Enter password

Highlight the field below Password and key in the password for your email account.
Scroll to Next and press the Navigation key.

Exit

Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.
