You can deactivate data connections. Only text messages and calls are then available. This is useful if you want to avoid unintended data traffic. Follow these instructions to activate or deactivate data connections.

Find "Mobile Network Options"

Press the Menu key.

Scroll to Manage Connections and press the Navigation key.

Activate or deactivate data connections

Highlight the drop down list next to Data Services and press the Navigation key.

Highlight On or Off and press the Navigation key.

Exit

Press Disconnect to return to standby mode.
