You can select which network modes your phone should use. This selection influences the data speeds you can achieve.

Find "Mobile Network"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press Settings.

Select network mode

Press the drop down list below "Network Mode".

3G (UMTS) or 4G (LTE) enables you to achieve higher data speeds than when using 2G (GSM).
If you select 2G, you can't achieve high data speeds.
If you select 3G, your phone can only connect to 3G networks.
If you select 4G & 3G, your phone automatically switches between the two network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G or a 4G network.
If you select 3G & 2G, your phone automatically switches between the two network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G network.
If you select 4G & 3G & 2G, your phone automatically switches between the three network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G or a 4G network.

Select network mode

Press one of the following options:
2G

3G (UMTS) or 4G (LTE) enables you to achieve higher data speeds than when using 2G (GSM).
If you select 2G, you can't achieve high data speeds.
If you select 3G, your phone can only connect to 3G networks.
If you select 4G & 3G, your phone automatically switches between the two network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G or a 4G network.
If you select 3G & 2G, your phone automatically switches between the two network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G network.
If you select 4G & 3G & 2G, your phone automatically switches between the three network modes provided that you're within range of a 3G or a 4G network.

3G (UMTS) or 4G (LTE) enables you to achieve higher data speeds than when using 2G (GSM).
If you select 2G, you can't achieve high data speeds.
If you select 3G, your phone can only connect to 3G networks.

Return to the home screen

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to the home screen.

Find "Mobile Network"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press Settings.
Press Network Connections.
Press Mobile Network.
