Set up your phone for text messaging - BlackBerry Z30

A text message is a message that can be sent to other mobile phones. Your phone can send and receive text messages as soon as you've inserted your SIM. If this isn't the case, you can set up your phone for text messaging manually.

Find "SMS"

Slide your finger left across the display to open the main menu.
Press Text Messages.

Press More.

Save the message centre number

Press Advanced.

Press the field below "Service Centre Address" and key in +61415011501

Select data bearer

Press the drop down list below "Routing Preference".

Select data bearer

Press Circuit Switched Preferred.

Select message type

Press the drop down list below "Send Text-Only Messages as".

Press SMS.

Save settings

Press Save.

Return to the home screen

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to the home screen.

Find "SMS"

Slide your finger left across the display to open the main menu.
Press Text Messages.
Press More.
Press Settings.
Press Text Messages.
Press SMS.

Save the message centre number

Press Advanced.
Press the field below "Service Centre Address" and key in +61415011501

Select data bearer

Press the drop down list below "Routing Preference".
Press Circuit Switched Preferred.

Select message type

Press the drop down list below "Send Text-Only Messages as".
Press SMS.

Save settings

Press Save.

Return to the home screen

Slide your finger up the display starting from the bottom edge of your phone to return to the home screen.
