Turn use of PIN on or off - HTC 7 Trophy

The PIN protects your SIM from unauthorised use. If use of PIN is turned on, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on your phone. Follow these instructions to turn use of PIN on or off.

Step 1 of 7

Find "call settings"

Press arrow right to access the main menu.

Press Phone.

Press the dots in the bottom right corner of the display.

Turn use of PIN on or off

Press the indicator next to SIM security.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK.

Please note:
If the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.

Turn use of PIN on or off

Key in your PIN and press enter.
Depending on the current setting, the function is turned on or off.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK.

Please note:
If the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from Vodafone.

Exit

Press the Home key to return to standby mode.

Find "call settings"

Press arrow right to access the main menu.
Press Phone.
Press the dots in the bottom right corner of the display.
Press call settings.
