I can't use tethering on my phone - HTC Desire 320

Cause 1 of 1: Your computer and phone haven't been set up for tethering correctly

You need to set up your computer and phone correctly before you can use tethering.

Solution: Set up your phone and computer for tethering.

Connect phone and computer

Connect the data cable to the phone socket and to your computer's USB port.

Step 2 of 6

Turn on tethering

Slide two fingers down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press SETTINGS.

Press More....

Step 4 of 6

Turn on tethering

Press Tethering & portable hotspot.

Turn on tethering

Press USB tethering to turn on the function.

Establish connection

An internet connection from your computer via your phone is automatically established.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from your computer.

1 Connect phone and computer

2 Turn on tethering

Press More....
Press Tethering & portable hotspot.
