Set up your phone for email - Nokia 208

Read help info

You can set up your phone to send and receive email messages from your email accounts. Remember, you need to set up your phone for internet.

Step 1 of 34

Find "Mail"

Press the Navigation key.

Scroll to Mail and press the Navigation key.

Create new email account

Scroll to Other and press the Navigation key.

If an email account has been created already, do the following instead:
Scroll to Add account and press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Other and press the Navigation key.

Enter email address

Highlight the field below "Mail address" and key in your email address.

Enter password

Highlight the field below "Password" and key in the password for your email account.

If the display tells you that your email account has been set up, follow the instructions on the display to select more settings and finish the setup.

Press the Navigation key.

If the display tells you that your email account has been set up, follow the instructions on the display to select more settings and finish the setup.

Enter username

Highlight the field below "Username (if required)" and key in the username for your email account.

Select server type

Scroll to pop3 and press the Navigation key.

Enter incoming server

Highlight the field below "Incoming mail server" and key in the name of your email provider's incoming server.

Highlight the field below "Incoming port" and key in 110

Turn off encryption of incoming email

Scroll to None and press the Navigation key.

Turn off encryption of incoming email

Scroll to Next and press the Navigation key.

Enter outgoing server

Highlight the field below "Outgoing mail server" and key in the name or the IP address of your email provider's outgoing server.
Please note that if you can't send email messages when using your email provider's outgoing server, key in smtp.vodafone.net.au (Vodafone's outgoing server).

Enter outgoing port

Highlight the field below "Outgoing port" and key in 25

Turn off encryption of outgoing email

Scroll to None and press the Navigation key.

Turn SMTP authentication on or off

Scroll to Requires login and press the Navigation key until the function is turned on or off.
Please note that if you're using Vodafone's outgoing server, turn off SMTP authentication and leave the username and password fields empty.

Save settings

Scroll to Sign in and press the Navigation key.

Edit settings

Press Options.

Highlight Manually or Automatic and press the Navigation key.

Highlight the required period and press the Navigation key.

Press Back three times to go to the list of email accounts.

Highlight the required email account and press Options.

Scroll to Edit account and press the Navigation key.

Press the Navigation key to save the settings.

Return to the home screen

Press Disconnect to return to the home screen.

Find "Mail"

Press the Navigation key.
Scroll to Mail and press the Navigation key.

Create new email account

Scroll to Other and press the Navigation key.

Enter email address

Highlight the field below "Mail address" and key in your email address.

Enter password

Highlight the field below "Password" and key in the password for your email account.

Enter username

Highlight the required period and press the Navigation key.
Press OK.
Press Back three times to go to the list of email accounts.

Enter name

Highlight the required email account and press Options.
Scroll to Edit account and press the Navigation key.
Highlight the field below "Mailbox name" and key in the required name of the email account.
Press the Navigation key to save the settings.

Return to the home screen

Press Disconnect to return to the home screen.
