Cause 3 of 3: You haven't activated a Microsoft account on your phone

If you haven't activated a Microsoft account on your phone, you can't install apps.

Solution: Activate a Microsoft account on your phone.

Find "email+accounts"

Slide your finger down the display starting from the top edge of your phone.
Press ALL SETTINGS.

Find "email+accounts"

Press email+accounts.

Start activation

Press add an account.

Press Microsoft account.

Start activation

Press sign in.

Activate Microsoft account

Press the field below "Email address" and key in the email address for your Microsoft account.

Activate Microsoft account

Press the field below "Password" and key in the password for your Microsoft account.

Activate Microsoft account

Press next.
Follow the instructions on the display to end the activation of your Microsoft account.

Return to the home screen

Press the home icon to return to the home screen.

1 Find "email+accounts"

Press email+accounts.

2 Start activation

Press add an account.
Press Microsoft account.
Press sign in.

3 Activate Microsoft account

Press the field below "Email address" and key in the email address for your Microsoft account.
Press the field below "Password" and key in the password for your Microsoft account.
Press next.
Follow the instructions on the display to end the activation of your Microsoft account.

4 Return to the home screen

Press the home icon to return to the home screen.
