Set up your phone for Exchange email - Samsung Galaxy S4

You can set up your phone to send and receive email messages from your Exchange email account. Remember, you need to set up your phone for internet.

Find "Email"

Press Apps.

Enter email address

Key in your email address.

If email accounts have been created already, do the following instead:
Press the Menu key.
Press Settings.
Press Add account.
Key in your email address.

Press Password and key in your password.

Press Manual setup.

Select account type

Press Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.

Enter domain and username

Press the field below "Domain\user name" and key in the domain and username separated by a "\".

Enter server address

Press the field below "Exchange server" and key in the server address.

Turn SSL encryption on or off

Press Use secure connection (SSL) to turn the function on or off.

Turn client certificate on or off

Press Use client certificate to turn the function on or off.

If you turn on the function:
Press Client certificate and follow the instructions on the display to install the required certificate.

Press Next.

Select period for synchronisation of email messages

Press the drop down list below "Period to sync Email".

Press the required setting.

Press the drop down list below "Sync schedule".

Press Push, Manual or the required interval.

Press Notify me when email arrives to turn the function on or off.

Press one of the following data types to turn synchronisation on or off:

Turn automatic retrieval of attachments when connected to a Wi-Fi network on or off

Press Automatically download attachments when connected to Wi-Fi to turn the function on or off.

Enter email account name

Key in a name for your email account

Finish setup

Press Done.

Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Find "Email"

Press Apps.
Press Email.

Enter email address

Key in your email address.
If email accounts have been created already, do the following instead:
Press the Menu key.
