Turn use of PIN on or off - ZTE K5006z/Snow Leopard

The PIN protects your SIM from unauthorised use. When use of PIN is turned on, you need to key in your PIN every time the USB modem application starts. Follow these instructions to turn use of PIN on or off.
If you have an active internet connection, it needs to be ended. Click here for information on how to end an internet connection.

Find "Request PIN"

Click Vodafone Mobile Broadband.

Click Preferences.

Click PIN.

Click Request PIN.

Turn use of PIN on or off

Click the box next to Request PIN to turn use of PIN on or off.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting customer services.

Please note:
If the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from your operator.

Turn use of PIN on or off

When the box is ticked (V), use of PIN is turned on.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting customer services.

Please note:
If the wrong PUK is entered ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from your operator.

If you have turned off use of PIN:
Click OK to confirm.

If an incorrect PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. The PUK can be obtained by contacting customer services.

Highlight the field next to PIN and key in your PIN.

Click OK to close the window.
