The lock code protects the contents of your device from unauthorised use. If use of lock code is turned on, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on your device. Follow these instructions to turn use of lock code on or off.

Find "Passcode Lock"

Press Settings.

Find "Passcode Lock"

Press General.

Find "Passcode Lock"

Press Passcode Lock.

Select option

Select one of the following options:
Turn on lock code, go to 2a.
Turn off lock code, go to 2b.

2a - Turn on lock code

Press Turn Passcode On.
Key in a lock code of your own choice.
Key in the same lock code again.

Step 6 of 9

2a - Turn on lock code

Press Require Passcode.

Step 7 of 9

2a - Turn on lock code

Press Immediately or the required interval.

Step 8 of 9

2b - Turn off lock code

Press Turn Passcode Off.
Key in the lock code.

Step 9 of 9

Exit

Press the Home key to return to standby mode.

Find "Passcode Lock"

Press Settings.
Press General.
Press Passcode Lock.

Select option

Select one of the following options:
Turn on lock code, go to 2a.
Turn off lock code, go to 2b.

2a - Turn on lock code

Press Turn Passcode On.
Key in a lock code of your own choice.
Key in the same lock code again.
Press Require Passcode.
Press Immediately or the required interval.

2b - Turn off lock code

Press Turn Passcode Off.
Key in the lock code.

Exit

Press the Home key to return to standby mode.
