I can't use my tablet as a Wi-Fi hotspot - Apple iPad mini (iOS7)

Cause 1 of 2: The wrong password is entered on the device you want to connect from.

The password used on your tablet needs to entered on the device you want to connect from.

Solution: Enter the correct password.

Find "Personal Hotspot"

Press Settings.

Find "Personal Hotspot"

Press Personal Hotspot.

Turn on personal hotspot

Press the indicator next to"Personal Hotspot" until the function is turned on.

If this is the first time you use the function:
Press Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Enter password for personal hotspot

Press Wi-Fi Password.

Key in the required password and press Done.

Establish connection

Do the following on the device which is to connect to your personal hotspot:
Turn on Wi-Fi.
Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Select your tablet on the list.
Key in the password you selected in step 3 and establish a connection to your tablet.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from the other device.

1 Find "Personal Hotspot"

2 Turn on personal hotspot

Press the indicator next to"Personal Hotspot" until the function is turned on.
If this is the first time you use the function:
Press Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

3 Enter password for personal hotspot

Press Wi-Fi Password.
Key in the required password and press Done.

4 Establish connection

Do the following on the device which is to connect to your personal hotspot:
Turn on Wi-Fi.
Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Select your tablet on the list.
Key in the password you selected in step 3 and establish a connection to your tablet.
When the connection is established, you can access the internet from the other device.
