Press Applications.

Find "Location and security"

Press Settings.

Find "Location and security"

Press Location and security.

Choose option

Choose one of the following options:
Turn on use of phone lock code, go to 2a.
Turn off use of phone lock code, go to 2b.

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press Set unlock pattern.

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press Next twice.

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press and drag a point to connect at least four points.

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press Continue.
Repeat the selected phone lock code to confirm.

2a - Turn on use of phone lock code

Press Confirm.

2b - Turn off use of phone lock code

Press Require pattern to turn off use of phone lock code.

2b - Turn off use of phone lock code

Press and drag a point to connect the points in the existing phone lock code.

2b - Turn off use of phone lock code

When the box next to the menu item is empty, use of phone lock code is turned off.

Exit

Press the Home key to return to standby mode.
